Big Countywide Chamber Events Coming Your Way

It’s summer in Sheboygan and your Chamber has upcoming events this month that you won’t want to miss! We’ve got two Business After Hours events, a Focal Point seminar, and even the Chamber company picnic for friends and family of our entire membership.

Join us on June 12 at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, home of the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open, for the first Business After Hours event from 5-7pm. Artwork by Cassy Tully, recently named the official artist for the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open, will be featured at the event.  “Through her paintings fans can experience the beauty and mystique of Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits,” said Jim Richerson, General Chairman for the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open and Group Director and General Manager of Kohler Golf. “It’s the perfect time to share her passion and artistry with the rest of the world.”

It’s the last call to register for the Chamber company picnic on Saturday, June 16 at Road America! Enjoy food, games, and the June Sprints with Chamber staff members and other Chamber members from 10am to 3pm. Your ticket to the Chamber event allows you to stay all day for racing. Admission is $20 per person and $8 for children 12 and under. We hope to see you there.

Lakeland College will host the second June Business After Hours to celebrate the school’s 150th anniversary. Learn more about Lakeland’s storied past and its exciting future while networking with Chamber contacts. We’ll gather in Sesquicentennial Square, an interactive lounge where Chamber members will have a sneak preview of the attraction before the All-College Reunion from June 21-June 24.  “It’s going to be the biggest gathering of alumni in our school’s history,” said David Gallianetti, Communications Director for Lakeland College. “It will be one of the summer’s most anticipated events.”

Lastly, we welcome Christine Jensema from St. Nicholas Hospital as our Focal Point presenter for June. The morning seminar will be on June 20, from 7:30-9am. The focus of this month’s presentation will be the hiring process. “How to Hire the Right People at the Right Time” promises to teach you five essential steps you should never sidestep in hiring. Come find out how to identify the people that will take your company to the next level!

Follow our Facebook page for ribbon cutting celebration announcements happening later this month. Be sure to partake in the 4th of July Festivities too.
