Cooperation
The Sheboygan County
Chamber of Commerce [SCCC] encourages cooperation through a myriad of programs
focused on strengthening commerce through new businesses, stronger existing
businesses and promoting tourism.
The Chamber also is integrally involved in Community Assistance, particularly
those with a Business Development emphasis. The Chamber’s Business Development programs assist Sheboygan County
communities in a variety of ways.
Example projects include:
- Worked with civic leaders [government and schools] in Plymouth to develop and
facilitate the ‘Shared Vision’ summit.
- Worked with civic leaders in Random Lake on their efforts to attract a grocery
store to downtown Random Lake.
Additional efforts addressed projects potentially funded by bond programs or
other government assistance programs.
- Worked with Harbor Centre BID to bring in UW-Extension representatives to
develop new programs relevant to the BID.
- Community development projects in Elkhart Lake, Oostburg, Random Lake and
Plymouth designed to bring new businesses to the communities.
