Prevea Health was founded in 1996 when physicians from the West Side, Webster and Beaumont Clinics partnered with St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay. Prevea Health is a physician-owned, multi-specialty clinic offering primary and specialized health care to patients throughout northeast Wisconsin and in western Wisconsin in the Chippewa Valley. Prevea Health is dedicated to improving the overall health of the community, and providing quality, specialty care close to home. They have more than 60 specialties, including behavioral care, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, family medicine, digestive health, endocrinology, orthopedics, pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology, pediatric digestive health, pediatric plastic surgery, plastic surgery, sports medicine and women’s care. Prevea Health works in partnership with six hospitals: HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay; HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan; HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls; HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, and HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls. The hospitals are operated by Hospital Sisters Health System, based in Springfield, IL. Prevea Health centers can be found in more than 38 locations throughout the greater Green Bay area, Luxemburg, Marinette, Oconto, Oconto Falls, Gillett, Lena, Mountain, Suring, Pulaski, Seymour, Sheboygan, Plymouth, Oostburg, Sturgeon Bay and Chippewa Falls. Prevea Health donates annually to local organizations including Brown County United Way; Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay; Cellcom Green Bay Marathon, and Current Young Professionals Network – a branch of the Greater Green Bay Chamber. Prevea also hosts two major fundraising events each year, including the Prevea Runway for Life, which raises money for cancer-related programs based in northeast Wisconsin, such as the Breast Cancer Family Foundation and Families of Children with Cancer, Inc., and the Prevea 5K GRB Run/Walk held at Austin Straubel International Airport, benefitting the Brian LaViolette Scholarship Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul of Green Bay, and Desert Veterans of Wisconsin. Prevea Health employees also contribute time and money to local non-profit organizations through the organization-wide Prevea Circle of Giving program. Organizations that have benefited from Prevea Circle of Giving include Ben’s Wish, St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the CP Center.
